Welcome to another exciting term at EOTAS. This year we are more committed than ever to build on past success for the benefit of all of our students.
EOTAS is "education other than at school" and through 4 centres we serve some of the most vulnerable young people (Reception to Yr13) in the South West who have exited mainstream education due to medical, emotional, psychiatric and behavioural barriers. Our role is to support young people through education to make better choices for better lives. We do this by "retracking" students to increasing amounts of increasingly inclusive education. Our two "gold" standards are reintegrating young people to mainstream education and ensuring a solid and sustainable transition to post-16 education.
We are proud of our staff and students because:
Through the strong leadership at our four centres, more students are getting better outcomes than ever before.
Through the diligence and expertise of all staff, the safeguarding of students is stronger than ever before.
Through the continuing, targeted work by staff with colleges, employers and external agencies, more students than ever before now have post-16 education, employment or training.
However, we are never complacent. This year we are leading additional improvements in the areas of: Curriculum, Attendance and Bespoke student programmes
These improvements will build on current good practice as the complex needs of students are more finely met through a range of alternative provision.
