EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) currently runs four unique Centres across Swindon which caters for pupils who for a variety of reasons cannot be educated within a mainstream setting.
Stratton Education Centre is for pupils who have been excluded from Secondary School. The Riverside Centre deals with pupils who have been diagnosed as vulnerable and anxious. The Adolescent Unit is a Tier 4 residential service for pupils with complex health issues and the Hospital and Home Education service educates pupils with medical conditions. All four Centres work in close collaboration for the benefit of young people.
The service had an Ofsted inspection (September 2017) and was classified as Good in all categories. EOTAS is fully staffed by a dedicated and professional team of teachers and support workers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team at The Adolescent Unit School as an English Teacher. The successful candidate will work with a Teaching Assistant delivering learning activities to small groups of students. You will provide essential support to our students in order to reduce the barriers they face so that they can go on to achieve a better life.
The Education Other Than at School Service is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The successful applicant’s appointment will be subject to satisfactory enhanced clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service, references and Occupational Health clearance.
A visit to the Centre is highly recommended, please contact us to arrange.
NB: We do not accept or consider CVs.
