All referrals to Riverside are made by the mainstream school.
A panel meets termly to review all referrals. If a pupil is
accepted at panel, an intake meeting is arranged by the mainstream
school at Riverside in order to hand over all relevant information.
Pupils are dual registered with their mainstream school.
Pupils are offered a trial period of 6 weeks and the placement
will be reviewed at the end of this period.
It should be noted that persistent poor attendance or behaviour
may result in the placement being terminated and the student reverting to
single status with the mainstream provider..
